About

Come celebrate International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) with us!

WHAT IS INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR UNIVERSAL ACCESS TO INFORMATION (IDUAI)

International Right to Know Day was first recognized in 2002. In 2015, UNESCO declared 28 September as International Day for Universal Access to Information or IDUAI.

This year’s theme, “WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT OUR RIGHT TO KNOW” places significant importance of access to information laws and their implementation structures to building strong institutions for public good and sustainable development.

The Centre for Independent Journalism (CIJ) is hosting a series of virtual activities to celebrate IDUAI, align with this year’s theme.
